Speech Language Pathologist, (1.0 FTE), Perm

About the Role

Speech language pathologists work in a variety of elementary and secondary school settings, focusing on helping students with a wide range of speech-language-related needs to meet performance standards. The work includes evidence-based assessment and intervention practices in prevention, assessment, intervention, and program design efforts integrated within a school. Primary responsibilities include student safety and collaboration to support each student's readiness to learn, including guidance, discipline, and welfare. Speech language pathologists may work in individual or team settings and may rotate among multiple schools.

Requirements

• Must hold or be able to obtain a valid Oregon Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology license or valid TSPC license with Communication Disorders endorsement.

Qualifications

• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
• Experience working with, or knowledge of, students who are Limited English Proficient.
• Successful experience working in a diverse student environment.

Pay

Annual Salary Range (2025-2026): $58,788 - $111,463 (193-Day Contract). Initial placement based on education and experience. This salary range reflects 1.0 FTE; actual salary is prorated based on FTE and start date.

• Extended Responsibilities SPED Stipend of approximately $5,673 annually (pro-rated based on FTE and start/end dates).
• Stipend of $3,000 for holders of a PhD or EdD.

As a licensed employee, you are eligible for PERS/OPSRP retirement contributions. The district contributes the employer portion, and the employee contributes 6% via payroll deduction upon eligibility (working at least six full calendar months in a qualifying position). Part-time employees working at least six months and 600 hours in a calendar year will qualify.
