Responsibilities
- Delivering exceptional customer-focused treatment through ethical interactions.
- Working to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults.
- Emphasizes individual motivation and engagement to create the space for ongoing progress.
- Creating individualized assessments and reassessments per deadlines.
- Assessing the family’s and consumer’s strengths, needs, abilities and preferences.
- Maintaining and completing data collection and treatment records.
- Preparing engaging exercises and activities to use during speech sessions with clients.
- Engage with the community by attending educational presentations, health fairs, and community events, etc, to develop new connections and referrals to facility continuous case growth.
- Providing counseling and consultations for new clients.
- Performing other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the organization.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree required.
- Speech and Language Pathologist License required.
- ASHA Certification is a plus!
- Experience with Autism strongly preferred.
- Must have problem solving skills, excellent interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills, and possess mature judgment.
- Compassionate demeanor, with a strong desire to help clients develop, maximizing their potential and capitalizing on their strengths.

- A valid driver's license with proof of car insurance and a good driving record is required.
- Spanish fluency is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications

Pay and Schedule
- Pay Range: $40-$50 per hour for direct, billable hours. $15 per hour for non-billable, indirect hours such as training and onboarding.
- This is a part time position.
Schedule
- This position would be located in our Center of Achievement located in Abingdon, MD.
- The other centers are located in PA and WV.
- This position is not a remote position and will require you to be onsite and work some after-school/evening hours as clients schedules require.
