Responsibilities
- Supervise SLP-A’s if current CCC's with ASHA are held.
- Maintain accurate and up to date records of every treatment/session delivered to students whether direct or indirect services.
- Document all student services who are eligible for Medicaid reimbursement if current CCC's with ASHA are held.
- Complete records of students' progress and development preparing required reports on students and activities.
- Perform certain duties including but not limited to student support, counseling students with academic problems and supporting certain extracurricular activities such as social activities, sporting activities, clubs and student organizations, participating in department and school meetings, and parent meetings.
- Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures, maintaining discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school, and applying appropriate disciplinary measures where necessary.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development preparing required reports on students and activities.
- Utilize technology and integrate the use of technology to provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities, instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment, observe, evaluate, encourage and provide feedback on student's performance and development.
- Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences and establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
- Document health related services in Designated Medicaid documentation system for the DCSD School Medicaid Reimbursement Program.
- Plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Masters in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Science Disorders from an accredited college.
- The speech language pathologist must have a Colorado School Speech Language Pathologist License.
- It is preferred that the SLP have a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).

Pay
- Approx Scheduled Days Per Year Full Salary Range: $62,150.00 USD - $131,345.00 USD
