Speech Language Pathologist (Effective 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR)

About the role

Summary Designs, develops and evaluates Speech and Language therapy services for an Individual Education Plan (IEP) to meet the specific needs of students who qualify for speech and language therapy services.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates and designs individualized speech and language therapy programs for students with identified needs.
  • Collaborates with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective therapy plans.
  • Evaluates progress and adjusts therapy plans as needed to ensure student success.
  • Provides training and support to staff on best practices in speech and language therapy.

Requirements

  • A Master's or more advanced degree, from an accredited institution, in speech pathology or communication disorders.
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech/Language Hearing Association.
  • Holds current Arizona Department of Health Services (DHS) Speech-Language Pathology License.
  • Holds Arizona Department of Education Speech-Language Pathology Certificate.
  • Holds Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Qualifications

  • Prior to start date, proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
  • Valid Driver's license (Arizona Driver’s License required within 30 days of hire).
  • MVReport – showing no more than the allowable points against Driver’s License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.
  • Reliable mode of personal transportation with evidence of insurance compliance greater than or equal to the state required minimum for car insurance as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.

Benefits

Salary will be prorated if the start date is after the first day of the work calendar for the position. Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language. For more information on salary schedule, please reference the Employee Agreements Webpage.
