The San Juan Unified School District is seeking a full-time teacher to work at Arden Middle School and Arcade Middle School.
About the role
This position is open until filled and accepting applications. Applications are screened weekly for applicants. Applications should be submitted no later than midnight on Sundays to be considered for the week.
Responsibilities
- Teach core academic subjects to students in grades 6-8
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum standards
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement interdisciplinary units
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Participate in professional development activities
Requirements
- Valid California teaching credential
- At least two years of relevant teaching experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
Qualifications
- Advanced degree preferred
- Experience working with diverse student populations
- Knowledge of special education requirements and resources
Skills
- Effective classroom management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Strong organizational and time management skills

Pay
The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $126,000 annually. Candidates must be internal employees to be placed on Column 5; for external candidates, Column 4 is the maximum incoming placement.
Schedule
The length of the work year is 10 months/year, 186 days/year, 5 days/week, with a professional work day.
