About the role
The Westbrook School Department is seeking a full-time Educational Technician III to support students with varying needs in grades 9-12, both in special education and general education settings.
Responsibilities
- Support students with varying academic, social, and emotional needs
- Work collaboratively with a dedicated and friendly special education team
- Participate in professional development and receive three college courses per year
- Become part of a learning community that promotes student success
- Offer programming and related services across a continuum of settings
- Collaborate in teams to provide a social emotional curriculum, assess student data, implement interventions, and discuss best practices
- Prepare students for a more individualized course of study during their junior and senior years
- Offer a STEM and Visual & Performing Arts endorsed diploma, as well as programming for the Westbrook Regional Technical Center and PATHS
- Prepare students for the Seal of Bi-Literacy through multilingual learner programming and modern and classical language courses
- Support students in joining the military, entering the workforce, or pursuing higher education through relevant and rigorous coursework and guidance from the Aspirations Counselor and Student Services Department
Requirements
The ideal candidate must hold a Maine State Ed Tech III Certification 023 or 025.
Qualifications
Experience working with students with varying needs, strong communication skills, and a collaborative spirit are essential.
Skills
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are required.
