SpEd. Educational Assistant

Requirements

• Hold an associates degree or higher
• OR have an equivalent of two years of college coursework totaling 48 hours at an accredited institution of higher learning
• OR pass the Education Testing Service (ETS) Para-Pro Assessment

Responsibilities

• Work with small groups of students for the purpose of reinforcing skills, answering questions, and providing constructive academic feedback
• Be a positive role model for young children
• Maintain excellent attendance
• Follow oral and written instructions
• Establish effective schedules and work routines
• Work under the direction of a certified teacher and complete assigned work-related duties
