About the role
The SPED Coordinator is responsible for overseeing special education programs and services within the district.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate student needs and develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to implement IEPs.
- Monitor student progress and adjust educational strategies as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state special education laws and regulations.
- Provide professional development opportunities for staff related to special education best practices.
Requirements
- A master’s degree in Special Education or related field.
- Valid teaching license in Special Education.
- At least 3 years of experience working with students with disabilities.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Skills
- Knowledge of IDEA and other special education laws.
- Experience with special education software tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay
- $50,000 - $60,000 annually.
Schedule
- Full-time position.
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
