About the role

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processing Team Lead to join our team in Cincinnati, Ohio. In this position, you will assist in supervising day-to-day operations, lead the team in daily processes, and ensure efficient and accurate specimen processing in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the supervision of day-to-day operations of the department
  • Lead the team in their daily processes and procedures
  • Assist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
  • Oversee routing of specimens to their respective prep areas
  • Encourage process improvements and best practices
  • Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy
  • Resolve production errors as requested by management; research and escalate when necessary
  • Engage in continuous process and service-level improvements
  • Enforce and manage policies and procedures
  • Perform administrative duties as needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent)
  • 3+ years of experience in lab, accessioning, data entry, or production
  • Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position
  • Familiarity with laboratory operations, policies, and procedures
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree
  • 1+ years of experience working in a clinical laboratory
  • 1+ years of experience as a people leader

Schedule

Split shifts ranging from Monday–Friday, 8:00 PM–11:00 PM. Ability to cover 1st and 3rd shifts and weekends as needed.

Pay

$19.00–$29.93 per hour. Eligible for a 2nd shift differential. All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills, prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
