About the role

Join LabCorp in Miami, FL, as a Specimen Processing Team Lead. In this fast-paced, customer-focused environment, you will lead a team in daily operations, ensuring efficient and accurate specimen processing while contributing to our mission: "Improving Health, Improving Lives."

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising day-to-day operations of the department.
• Lead the team in daily processes and procedures.
• Assist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Oversee routing of specimens to their respective prep areas.
• Encourage process improvements and best practices.
• Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Resolve production errors as requested by management; research and escalate when necessary.
• Engage in continuous process and service-level improvements.
• Enforce and manage policies and procedures.
• Perform administrative duties as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• 3+ years of experience in lab, accessioning, data entry, or production.
• Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position.
• Familiarity with laboratory operations, policies, and procedures.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree.
• 3+ years of experience working in a clinical laboratory.
• 3+ years of experience as a people leader.

Schedule

Monday – 5:00 PM - 1:30 AM, with rotating Saturdays.
