About the role

The Specimen Collector Phlebotomist plays a crucial role at Millennium Health, collecting and processing patient specimens for laboratory analysis. This position involves direct interaction with patients, clinics, and the laboratory, ensuring high-quality specimen collection and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient blood, urine, and/or oral fluid (saliva) specimens
• Process and package collections for shipping
• Record patient information, physician order details, and pertinent laboratory information
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in ordering portal
• Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens (when applicable)
• Drive from/to multiple facilities as needed

Requirements

• Certified phlebotomist with 1+ year experience
• 6+ months of experience as a specimen collector or 1+ years of experience in the medical field, directly supporting patients
• Demonstrated ability to navigate a smartphone and computer
• Valid driver’s license
• Medical insurance/billing and/or familiarity with medications/diagnostic codes
• High School diploma or equivalent

Pay

$20-23/hr. Salary offered is dependent on qualifications, experience, and geographical location.
