About the role
The Specimen Accessioner I performs all paperwork and non-technical procedures required to prepare, process, and submit specimens to the laboratory for testing. This is an onsite position located in Irvine, CA.
Responsibilities
- Receiving, triaging, and accessioning patient samples
- Distribution of patient reports and specimens to clients
- Performing quality control of accessions and labeling
- Troubleshooting specimen issues
- Communicating specimen questions, concerns, and issues with clients, pathology labs, and internal departments via telephone, email, and facsimile
Requirements
- 1 to 2 years' experience
- Strong data entry skills
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Attention to detail
Pay
Hiring salary range: $17.50 - $22.00 per hour. The actual rate will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Schedule
Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM
