Specialty Veterinary Clinical Manager
About the role
The Specialty Veterinary Clinical Manager role at MedVet offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing emergency and specialty veterinary practice. This position is crucial for leading a team that delivers exceptional care to both patients and clients.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the department's healthcare team has the necessary resources and tools to deliver the MedVet Experience
- Coach team members on process improvement, ensuring efficient and sustainable operations
- Collaborate with other departments to develop, monitor, and adjust schedules for maximum efficiency
- Make recommendations for purchasing needed supplies and equipment
- Manage and influence department financial decisions and health
- Influence behavior and lead change in a rapidly growing organization, fostering a collaborative and service-oriented culture
- Provide a comprehensive clinical onboarding training schedule for all team members
- Offer ongoing and continuous performance feedback, instruction, and follow-up to team members
- Perform initial screening of client and referral partner concerns, collaborating with the hospital dyad to resolve issues
- Provide annual written performance feedback and a development plan for each member of the healthcare team
- Split time between clinical and administrative duties, with a minimum of 50% of time spent on administrative tasks
Requirements
- A minimum of three years of experience in a management or leadership role
- An associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in the healthcare or veterinary field
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Proficiency in a fast-paced environment and the ability to prioritize duties and responsibilities
- Standard knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week in the hospital, with flexibility for after-hours and weekend coverage

Pay
Up to $5,000 sign-on bonus based on skillset and experience.
Schedule
Split time between clinical and administrative duties, with a minimum of 50% of the time spent on administrative tasks.
