Responsibilities
- Develop, grow, and manage a profitable portfolio of Cyber Liability, Technology Errors & Omissions, and Miscellaneous Professional Liability business, with a strong focus on new business production and retention of key accounts.
- Drive underwriting profitability through disciplined risk selection, pricing, coverage analysis, and portfolio management strategies.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with retail brokers to generate new business opportunities and increase market presence within the assigned territory.
- Actively market products through broker meetings, industry events, presentations, conferences, lunches, dinners, and other networking activities to expand distribution channels and strengthen strategic partnerships.
- Independently evaluate and underwrite complex risks by reviewing submissions, analyzing exposures, assessing financial and operational information, and determining appropriate pricing, terms, conditions, and coverage structures.
- Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, authority levels, systems, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with Actuarial, Claims, Legal, and Product Development teams to support pricing strategies, address emerging cyber trends, and maintain portfolio profitability.
- Monitor industry developments, cyber threat trends, claims activity, and marketplace changes to identify opportunities and enhance underwriting strategies.
- Provide underwriting analysis, production updates, pipeline reporting, and portfolio performance metrics to senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum 3+ years of Cyber Liability and/or Technology E&O underwriting experience, with demonstrated production and broker-facing responsibilities strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to build and maintain broker relationships and successfully generate new business opportunities.
- Solid Writing and Communication Skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, and ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel.
- Must be able to think originally, be willing to challenge ideas and be receptive to constructive feedback.
- Ability to be onsite in office 4 days a week, where applicable.
Qualifications
