Specialty Technician

About the role

The Specialty Technician will play a crucial role in supporting Dr. Surathi's Neurology team. This position involves coordinating patient care, organizing specialty procedures, and ensuring smooth clinic operations.

Responsibilities

• Check patients in and out for visits at 1550 University Avenue.
• Cook up and schedule a variety of neurologic specialty procedures, including VNGs, EMGs, Wireless EEGs, GUIDE Program Visits, and other neurology specialty procedures as needed.
• Build and manage daily schedules and referrals for Dr. Surathi to ensure efficiency and goal attainment.
• Work closely with other diagnostic techs (EEG, EMG, VNG) to align patient and provider schedules.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist with provider visits.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation within the EHR system.
• Provide excellent communication and service to patients, providers, and staff.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of prior clinical or medical office experience required; neurology or specialty care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and multitasking ability.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and neurology procedures preferred.
• Comfortable with EHR systems and scheduling software.
