Specialty Summer Intern - Houston

About the role

The CAC, part of the Baldwin Group Specialty Summer Internship Program, provides rising college seniors with practical, hands‑on experience within the corporate risk management and insurance industries. Interns participate in an eight‑week program that offers exposure to risk management within a specific specialty line, with departmental placement based on interest.

Specialty areas

• Natural Resources – Teams focus on the time‑sensitive nature of risk and insurance services for clients in the natural resources industry. Interns gain insight into the specialized approach to insurance for Oil & Gas industry clients.
• Surety – The team develops innovative bonding solutions for complex risks. Interns spend the summer learning about various bond programs and the complex challenges and risks faced by clients.

Schedule

June 7 2027 – July 30 2027 (8 weeks).

Compensation

Paid seasonal internship. Salary range for U.S. applicants is $18 per hour.

Course credit

The Baldwin Group will work with students to meet required course criteria for those obtaining academic credit for the summer internship.

• Project‑Based Data Analysis – Conduct research, perform data analysis, and participate in special client‑focused projects.
