Construction Intern - Houston Summer 2027

About the role

F.H. Paschen offers a robust Internship Program for students pursuing construction or other curriculums within the built environment. The Construction Intern position is primarily a summer role designed to provide hands-on experience and prepare students for a career in Construction Project Management. Interns will work with a project team and may be placed in various phases, from pre-construction through project closeout.

Responsibilities

• Quantity takeoffs
• Maintain material logs
• Prepare project reports
• Handle correspondence
• Review and determine suitability of shop drawings and submittals
• Track status of change orders
• Track status of Requests for Information (RFIs)
• Collect, verify, and distribute as-builts
• Blueprint reading
• Close Out Documentation
• Field coordination and supervision
• Subcontractor solicitation

Requirements

• Enrolled in Engineering, Construction, Architecture, Business, or related majors in the built environment
• Knowledge of construction-related technology such as Blue Beam, Revit, and Procore
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Experience with computer applications for spreadsheets, word processing, and scheduling is preferred

Pay

$22 - $24/hr
