Specialty Summer Intern- Houston
About the role
The CAC, part of the Baldwin Group Specialty Summer Internship Program, provides rising college seniors with practical, hands-on experience within the corporate risk management and insurance industries. Interns in this 8-week program will gain exposure to risk management within a specific specialty line. Departmental/specialty line placement will be based on interest.
Responsibilities
- Gain insight on our specialized approach to insurance for Oil & Gas industry clients within the Natural Resources department.
- Spend the summer gaining exposure to various bond programs and the complex challenges and risks our clients face within the Surety department.
- Work closely with clients, markets, and other insurance professionals to enhance networking skills.
- Participate in professional development activities that increase business acumen and interaction with Specialty leadership.
- Conduct research, perform data analysis, and participate in special client-focused projects.
Requirements
Internships are paid, seasonal positions that are eight weeks in length. The salary range for this position (intend for U.S. applicants) is $18/hr.
Qualifications
Course Credit: CAC, part of the Baldwin Group will work with students to meet required course criteria for those who are obtaining academic credit for their summer internship.
