Specialty Services Technician Supervisor - Angell West - 10k Sign on Bonus

About the role

MSPCA-Angell West in Waltham is seeking a Veterinary Technician Supervisor. Advanced technical, clinical and leadership skills are required for this position in order to effectively provide leadership to the technician services as well as patient and client care.

Responsibilities

• Participating in the hiring, training, coaching and performance evaluation for our technical staff and volunteers
• Creating work schedules, preparation of payroll, and the processing of personnel records
• Assisting our clinicians with providing high quality nursing care to our patients as well as ensure a high quality of client care

Qualifications

• Certified Veterinary Technician
• Strong supervisory ability
• Excellent interpersonal and decision making skills
• Cooperative personality and enjoys working in a positive, but very fast paced environment
• Collaborative working style
• Loves teaching in a positive, patient and dynamic manner
• Strong writing skills (cover letter required)

Experience required

• 2 years of veterinary Specialty Services experience
• 3 years of veterinary technician experience
• Previous supervisory and/or customer service experience preferred
• Previous Animal Handling Experience

Compensation

• Starting at $35-$39 hourly, VTS starting at $43/hr
• $10,000 Sign on Bonus for new hire CVT's
• Candidates with additional experience or credentials may be eligible for compensation aligned with their qualifications

Schedule

• Full time 40 hour a week position
• Weekdays four 10hr shifts
• Potential Holiday and Weekend coverage as needed
