About the role

Provides professional nursing care to patients within the medical practice in support of, and as directed by, the physicians. Assists the physician in the treatment of patients and completes related clinical paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Carries out responsibilities and integrates Mercy Philosophy of caring for the sick and suffering, respect for human life, and the dignity of each person into work ethic.
• Communicates with patients, families, visitors, and employees in a caring, friendly, personal, and professional manner.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• RN or LPN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and meets all state board of nursing requirements.
• Preferred: 6 months clinical healthcare experience, preferably in a primary care office.

Qualifications

• Physical requirements: Pushes, pulls, and/or lifts up to 50 pounds regularly, stands and walks for extended periods, and performs duties requiring gripping, reaching, bending, kneeling, twisting, and squatting.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or equivalent, and may require additional certifications such as ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, BLS, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., C-EFM, and others as required by the position or department.
