Specialty-RN (Infectious Disease) - Mercy Wellness Center

About the role

Provides professional nursing care to patients within the medical practice in support of, and as directed by, the physicians. Assists the physician in the treatment of patients and completes related clinical paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Carries out responsibilities and integrates Mercy Philosophy of caring for the sick and suffering, respect for human life, and the dignity of each person into work ethic.
• Communicates with patients, families, visitors, and employees in a caring, friendly, personal, and professional manner.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• RN or LPN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed, meeting all state board of nursing requirements.
• 6 months clinical healthcare experience, preferably in a primary care office.

Qualifications

• Physical requirements: Push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis, prolonged standing and walking each shift, ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe: ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, BLS, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., C-EFM, Other unit-specific certifications as required.
