Responsibilities
- Act as the primary customer contact and implement marketing strategy to promote Amgen products under the guidance of the District Manager.
- Provide current, comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen products and communicate their benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate product utilization.
- Achieve territory sales targets through branded sales messaging, planned programs, and both in-person and virtual customer engagement.
- Develop and maintain strong account relationships by customizing interactions based on customer needs, ensuring product access, resolving reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy, analyze sales activities and territory performance, and develop territory plans in partnership with the District Manager.
- Partner with colleagues to share best practices and continuously grow as a Senior Specialty Representative.
- Demonstrate passion for Amgen’s products and keep patient impact at the forefront throughout the sales cycle.

Requirements
Specialty Representative
- Bachelor’s degree
- OR Associate’s degree and 4 years of sales experience
- OR High school diploma/GED and 6 years of sales experience
Senior Specialty Representative
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare or scientific field (non-sales)
- OR Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare or scientific field (non-sales)
- OR High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare or scientific field (non-sales)
Preferred Qualifications
- Three or more years of sales experience within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industry.
- Product or hospital sales experience in areas such as oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, or infectious diseases.
- Local market knowledge and established relationships in the territory.
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration.

Pay
The expected annual salary range for a Specialty Representative in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is $89,816 to $121,602. The expected annual salary range for a Senior Specialty Representative in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is $109,631 to $148,325. Actual salary will vary based on relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
