About the Role

Upstate Family Health Care Inc. (UFHC) is a growing Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Utica, NY, is seeking board- certified or board-eligible specialists to provide outpatient specialty consultation services on a per-diem / 1099 contract basis. We are looking for the following specialties: Endocrinology | Cardiology | Gastroenterology | Orthopedics | Pulmonology.

Opportunities

The opportunity is ideal for specialists who want to maintain a flexible schedule while working in a high-efficiency outpatient clinic environment supported by an established primary care network. Optional opportunities include additional clinic sessions, telehealth specialty consultations, and participation in developing specialty programs such as diabetes and endocrine care, pulmonary disease management, cardiac risk management, musculoskeletal and orthopedic care programs.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO Board Certified or Board Eligible in specialty
  • Active New York State medical license
  • DEA registration (if applicable)

Compensation

Competitive hourly compensation is structured as a 1099 independent contractor arrangement, based on specialty and experience.

Work Environment / Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 60 pounds and assist patients as needed
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, twist, and perform repetitive clinical and administrative tasks
  • Blood Borne Pathogen Category (OSHA) Category I
