About the role
This is a per diem position for an addiction medicine physician responsible for providing medically-supervised opioid treatment services. The physician will admit patients for methadone and buprenorphine, conduct history and physical exams, document in the EMR, and prescribe or enter dosing orders. They will monitor patient dosages collaboratively with the treatment team, consult on high-risk cases, and perform annual medication reviews.
Responsibilities
- Admitting and assessing patients
- Managing medication protocols and documentation
- Monitoring high-risk patients and conducting reviews
- Performing related duties as assigned by supervisors
Qualifications
- Board Certified in Addiction Medicine
- At least 6 months of addiction medicine experience
- Licensed in California
- Eligible for a satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check
Pay
Compensation ranges from $100 to $120 per hour.
