Specialty Pharmacy Technician - Patient Liaison

About the role

As the primary point of contact for specialty pharmacy patients, you’ll support medication access, adherence, and care coordination in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate refills, delivery, and medication access
  • Support insurance navigation and copay assistance programs
  • Maintain and improve medication adherence
  • Communicate with pharmacists, providers, and clinic teams
  • Resolve patient, insurance, and access challenges efficiently

Qualifications & Skills

  • Required:
    • Registered Pharmacy Technician (state licensure required)
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • 2–5 years of pharmacy technician experience
  • Preferred:
    • CPhT (PTCB certification)
    • 5–8 years of experience
    • Background in specialty pharmacy, patient support, or medication adherence programs

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Solid organizational and administrative abilities
  • Ability to work independently and learn new systems quickly

Specialty Experience (Preferred)

  • Supporting patients in transplant
  • Supporting patients in Hepatitis C
  • Supporting patients in Infectious Disease (including HIV)
  • Supporting patients in Oncology

Compensation & Transparency

Salary: $50,000 – $65,000 + bonus

The actual salary will depend on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.
