About the role
Service Provider will provide dedicated full-time equivalent Specialty Pharmacy Liaison(s) (SPL) to serve as the primary resource managing the coordination of specialty pharmacies within HUB operations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct teleconferences with each SP
- Provide ongoing communication with the SPP as needed to manage each patient case
- Identify complex cases and triage them appropriately to the next level for support
- Review the exceptions and restatement of SPP records
- Provide support for the questions related to the sales portal
- Serve as a point of escalation concerning prior authorization denials and/or appeals
- Aid as needed with the SPP scorecard
- Coordinate a delivery date for product, pump and supplies from the appropriate SPP to coincide with the patient's first day of titration or based on HCP/patient need
- If the SP is unresponsive or refuses, UBC will immediately notify the client
- Obtain information for follow up on behalf of the SPP
Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree and 2-4 years of experience or 6-8 years relevant working experience
- 2 years experience in a customer service setting, preferably in a call center environment
- Previous experience in the PBM and/or healthcare industry preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel
Qualifications
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment
Skills
- Knowledge of specialty pharmacy processes, dispensing patterns and reimbursement issues
