About the role
This is an onsite position located at our Health Center partner site in Ohio. You will play an important role at AndHealth.
Responsibilities
- Accurately process prescriptions within the pharmacy operating system, ensuring data accuracy and supporting daily inventory activities like ordering and storing pharmaceuticals.
- Complete comprehensive benefits verification and help enroll patients in copay cards, patient assistance programs, or other secondary coverage to eliminate cost barriers.
- Collaborate closely with providers to address formulary restrictions and complete prior authorizations or appeals to ensure specialty medication access.
- Consistently communicate with patients to reassess medication utilization, identify potential side effects, and schedule upcoming fills or deliveries.
- Accurately document all patient interactions within the specialty pharmacy software and route any clinical needs directly to a pharmacist or licensed clinician.
- Manage patient medical referrals for specialty care, and support patients by guiding them through onsite digital health questionnaires and the AndHealth mobile app.
- Generate adherence reports, strictly follow HIPAA guidelines during all customer interactions, and provide flexible on-site or remote operational support as business needs evolve.
- Maintain flexibility to provide on-site support or cross-site remote assistance, ensuring operational continuity as business needs evolve.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required.
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) obtained or willing to obtain.
- Nationally certified - PTCB or ExCPT required or obtained within 6 months of hire.
- Must be willing to obtain and maintain licenses or certifications in multiple states.
- 3+ years of pharmacy experience is preferred.
- Bilingual; English and Spanish preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple things simultaneously.
- Comfortable with technology and the ability to adapt to new systems.
- Must be organized and able to work independently.
- Must have reliable transportation.
Qualifications
- Tuberculosis (TB) Screening: Documentation of a negative screening conducted within the last 12 months.
- Hepatitis B: Proof of a completed vaccine series or a positive blood titer result from within the last 12 months.
- Measles, Mumps, & Rubella (MMR): Proof of a completed vaccine series or positive blood titers from within the last 12 months.
- Varicella (Chickenpox): Proof of vaccination, documented medical history of the disease, or positive blood titers from within the last 12 months.
- Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis): Documentation of a booster administered within the last 10 years.
- Influenza: Proof of vaccination for the current flu season.
- Covid-19: Documentation of primary vaccine series and any boosters administered.
