Specialty Pharmacist
BayCare is seeking a Specialty Pharmacist to join our team in Largo, FL.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients with complex, chronic or rare conditions requiring specialty medications.
- Perform clinical reviews, patient counseling, adherence monitoring, and coordination with prescribers to ensure safe and effective medication use.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards, including URAC and ACHC, while supporting positive clinical and financial outcomes.
- Comply with specialty pharmacy accreditation requirements and federal and state pharmacy regulations.
- Offer patient education and counseling for specialty medications.
- Support clinical decision-making and pharmacoeconomic efforts.
- Work closely with a team of technicians and pharmacists to ensure proper dispensing of medications to patients.
Requirements
- Pharmacist - State of FL certification required.
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy; PharmD preferred.
- Prior experience in specialty or clinical pharmacy.
- Familiarity with specialty therapeutic areas such as oncology, neurology, rheumatology, and gastroenterology.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of specialty pharmacy accreditation requirements (URAC and ACHC).
- Experience with compliance and documentation, quality assurance, financial assistance, education and training.
- Strong clinical expertise.

Schedule
Full-time, exempt position with a shift of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, no weekends or on-call responsibilities.
Pay
Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.
