About the role

We are seeking a bilingual Specialty Loan Operations Specialist II who is fluent in both English & Korean to join our Specialty Lending Center (SLC) team at Open Bank. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Aid the Operations Officer with loan funding activities, collateral tracking, collateral shipment, and post-closing operational tasks.
  • Process loan onboarding and maintain accurate loan records in applicable systems.
  • Maintain electronic and physical loan and collateral files and ensure documents are properly organized and retained.
  • Monitor collateral receipt, exceptions, insurance requirements, and other post-closing conditions and follow up as necessary.
  • Aid with loan servicing functions including payment inquiries, payoff requests, and collateral releases.
  • Monitor and track tickler items and assist in collecting required borrower documentation.
  • Perform operational quality control reviews to ensure system data accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare recurring operational, collateral, and portfolio reports for management review.
  • Cookorate with internal departments and third-party vendors regarding loan boarding, collateral custody, insurance, and servicing matters.
  • Prepare daily operational reports and perform general ledger (GL) reconciliations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and operational support to lenders and borrowers.
  • Support departmental projects and perform other SLC-related duties as assigned.
  • Ensure adherence to SLC procedures, bank policies, and all applicable regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent work experience required.
  • Two (2) to four (4) years of banking, loan operations, loan servicing, or administrative support experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
