Specialty Chaplain - Palliative Care
About the role
The Specialty Chaplain provides professional and competent spiritual care ministry, and is responsible for serving the spiritual, religious, and emotional needs of care recipients and caregivers in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. As a leader of the healthcare team, they are directly responsible for the implementation of the Mission and Values and leads implementation of policies and procedures of the Department of Spiritual Health Services and the facility in which they serve.

Requirements
- Master's Degree in Theology, Divinity, Spirituality, Pastoral Ministry or relevant religious studies similarly accepted in chaplaincy board certifying organizations.
- Coursework/Training: Four clinical pastoral education units.
- Within 3 years of hire: National Chaplain Certification.
- 5 years Clinical and/or pastoral experience in healthcare setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Leadership in professional organizations such as APC, NACC, etc.
- Participation in chaplain related, publication worthy research.

Pay
The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Pay Range: $35.06 - $54.43
