Specialty Bartender - MGM Grand Detroit

The Job

We are seeking a talented Specialty Bartender to bring passion, precision, and premier service to our bar team.

Day-to-day

• Make and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, proportioning ingredients according to standardized recipes and provide food service as needed
• Knowledgeable of menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available
• Clean equipment, tools, and supplies and ensure equipment is in good working order; including, cleanliness, sanitation and appearance of the bar
• Ring poured or served beverages, collect payment, and follow all cash handling and variance procedures, including preparing daily reports and submitting appropriate paperwork
• Provide Bar Porters with training and mentoring on overall function of the bar, guest service and bartending
• Maintain bar inventory according to set pars and internal controls, and request product to maintain stock in bar

The Ideal Candidate

• Two years of prior relevant experience in a bar or similar environment
• Able to work any shift including weekends, holidays, and weekends
