Specialties Service Technician - Builder's Wholesale Interiors

About the role
The flooring technician is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of flooring materials in residential or commercial settings. Duties include measuring and preparing the installation area, removing old flooring, leveling the subfloor, cutting and fitting flooring materials, applying adhesives, nailing or stapling the flooring, and ensuring proper alignment and finishing.
Responsibilities
- Complete assigned service tickets as scheduled.
- Pulling and staging materials.
- Installation of microwaves and inspecting for damage.
- Measuring and cutting mirrors/glass as well as assisting with the installation when needed.
- Pre/Post Quality walls.
- Coordinate appliance deliveries.
- Picking up and delivering materials to the jobsite when needed.
- Address quality concerns and report issues to Warranty Management team.
- Ensure materials are available to complete tasks, including but not limited to screws, caulk, stock material, saw, drill, batteries, and tools.
- Transition installations/replacement, minor tile replacement/installation, grout touchups/maintenance, caulking, cut/tuck/stretch/seam carpet, patch linoleum, hard surface plank replacement/repair.

Skills
- Tools to be familiar with: wet saw, angle grinder, power stretcher, knee kicker, tape measure, hammer, rubber mallet, chop saw, electric staple gun, straight edge.
- Familiar concepts: thin set/grout applications, carpet installation, trowels, appropriate glue selections/applications.
