About the role

Join our team as a Cost Estimator, where you'll be at the heart of crafting winning bids for our Specialties projects. You'll be responsible for calculating product costs and identifying key details essential to our bids.

Responsibilities

• Calculate product quantities and pricing based on project documents and specifications
• Analyze project details to ensure compliance and efficiency
• Collaborate with co-workers, sales teams, vendors, and distributors to develop strategic bids
• Communicate effectively on project details and solve any overlaps or discrepancies in project documents
• Create proposals that stand out in the market

Requirements

• A bachelor’s or associate degree, or equivalent experience with an understanding of estimating, bidding, and project management
• Strong analytical skills to interpret technical documents and calculate complex costs
• Competence in programs like Word, Excel, and the ability to learn company-specific software
• Comfort with concepts like discounts, commissions, percentages, and practical problem-solving skills
• Adept at interpreting and adapting to non-standardized scenarios, managing time well, and ensuring that every bid aligns with both customer needs and company goals
