This role oversees and optimizes inventory control processes for raw materials and finished goods within a manufacturing environment. The Inventory Management Specialist uses an ERP system and Excel-based reporting to ensure accurate inventory records, support operational efficiency, and drive continuous process improvements focused on accuracy, material flow, and cost control.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices for raw materials and finished goods.
  • Operate and navigate the ERP system (M1) daily to perform inventory transactions, adjustments, and lot and location control activities.
  • Monitor and manage inventory records in the ERP system to ensure accuracy and traceability across all inventory locations.
  • Export ERP data into Excel to build reconciliations, analytics, and recurring inventory reports for management.
  • Create, maintain, and improve Excel databases and reports to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement in material flow and stock levels.
  • Recommend process improvements that enhance inventory accuracy, streamline material flow, and support cost control initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in manufacturing and operations to ensure alignment of inventory practices with production needs.
  • Prepare and deliver clear inventory reports and data summaries to management on a recurring basis.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing inventory management.
  • Hands-on experience working with an ERP system, including daily use for inventory transactions and control.
  • Proficiency with ERP inventory modules, including lot tracking, location control, and adjustments.
  • Strong Excel skills, including the ability to export data from ERP systems and build reconciliations and recurring reports.
  • Experience conducting cycle counts and reconciling inventory discrepancies.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform data analysis and reporting related to inventory and material flow.
  • Proven experience identifying and implementing process improvements in inventory management.
  • Ability to manage and maintain accurate inventory records across raw materials and finished goods.

Qualifications

  • Experience with the M1 ERP system or similar manufacturing-focused ERP platforms.
  • Background in data reporting and building Excel databases to support operational analytics.
  • Familiarity with cost control practices related to inventory and material management.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory data.
  • Ability to communicate inventory insights and recommendations clearly to management and operational teams.

Schedule

This is an on-site, in-office role with a standard Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $31.00/hr.
