About the role

The Specials Recovery Registered Nurse coordinates care for patients of all ages in the specialized recovery setting, focusing on pre, intra, and post-care to ensure safe recovery and identify potential complications.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient conditions in the recovery room and assess for safety and issues.
• Prepare and administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver coordinated, comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are properly maintained and available.
• Seek guidance from senior management on complex treatment plans and problems.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate degree required.
• Minimum of 3 years as a Registered Nurse and 1 year in a clinical specialty (e.g., cardiac, telemetry, ED, PCU, ICU).
• Current RN license in North Carolina or a Compact state.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire; ACLS certification required within 6 months.
