Responsibilities
- Retrieve inventory and pack merchandise for shipment.
- Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material/equipment needs.
- Control and maintain all records required for accurate, on-time completion of shipments.
- Work in a team environment to accomplish work assignments.
- Receive inventory and check the merchandise’s quality and accuracy.
- Efficiently wrap and pack merchandise with packing slip or order details for each shipment, maintaining a quick and steady pace without compromising accuracy.
- Ensure all merchandise is prepared accurately and ready for shipping on time.
- Periodically use computers, email, scanners, and the warehouse management system (WMS) to track inventory, create paperwork, or document reporting.
- Support and promote company core values.
- Maintain regular attendance.
- Comply with company C-TPAT and TSA security procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- A team player with a high level of energy and self-motivation.
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple projects and set priorities.
- Must be mentally and emotionally capable of handling a high-stress environment.
- Experience working in Freight Forwarding or Transportation industry preferred.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug and/or alcohol tests, and will be subject to a criminal history background check.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States. At this time, EFW will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 0-2 years of experience. A combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
Physical Demands
- Frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
- Must be capable of individually lifting a minimum of 30 lbs and team lifting a minimum of 70 lbs.
- Often required to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects repeatedly or continuously over time, involving muscular endurance and resistance to muscle fatigue.
- Frequently required to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with their body, arms, and/or legs.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Required to see details at close range and at a distance.
Work Environment
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts in the warehouse.
- Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme cold and/or heat.
- Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
