Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment of Surgical Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and LSAs from sourcing through onboarding
  • Design and execute advanced sourcing strategies for Surgical Assist, NP, and PA roles, including building relationships with CAAHEP-accredited Surgical Assistant program directors and college recruitment pipelines
  • Build and maintain robust candidate pipelines of Surgical Assist and advanced practice provider (NP/PA) talent for time-sensitive clinical needs

  • Partner closely with hiring managers to deliver an exceptional recruitment experience
  • Screen and evaluate high volumes of resumes to identify best-fit candidates
  • Present qualified candidates to leadership for review and selection
  • Maintain consistent follow-up with candidates throughout interviews, offers, negotiations, relocation, and offer acceptance
  • Track recruiting activity and candidate status within the ATS
  • Meet aggressive staffing goals, deadlines, and placement targets
  • Verify licensure, certifications (e.g., CSA, SA-C, NP board certification, NCCPA/PA-C), and credentialing requirements specific to Surgical Assist and advanced practice roles
  • Match Surgical Assist, NP, and PA candidates’ certifications, OR experience, and specialty skill sets with site-specific surgical program needs
  • Maintain long-term relationships with candidates for future hiring needs
  • Manage multiple priorities and move seamlessly between tasks
  • Ensure accuracy, compliance, and quality throughout the recruitment process

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum 3 years of healthcare or clinical recruiting experience, with direct experience recruiting Surgical Assistants, NPs, PAs, or LSAs strongly preferred
  • Proven success recruiting Surgical Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, or other surgical/advanced practice providers
  • Experience working directly with hiring managers and leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to meet high-volume recruiting goals
  • Strong cold-calling, persuasion, and relationship-building skills
  • Working knowledge of Surgical Assist, NP, and PA licensure, certification (e.g., CAAHEP-accredited Surgical Assistant programs, CSA/SA-C, NCCPA/PA-C), and credentialing requirements
  • Proficiency with ATS platforms and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Positions are highly time sensitive; an existing network or funnel of Surgical Assist, NP, PA, or LSA candidates is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with intraoperative neurological monitoring (IONM) and surgical support staffing models, OR terminology, and CAAHEP-accredited Surgical Assistant program landscape

Other Requirements

  • Must maintain professional appearance
  • Ability to be at work on a regular and consistent basis
