Job Summary
Seeking a Specialist with 7+ years of experience in MySQL database administration with experience in Linux environments.
Job Description
- Manage and maintain MySQL database environments ensuring high availability and optimal performance
- Utilize AWS Database Services for cloud based database deployments and management
- Administer Windows Server and RedHat Linux systems supporting database infrastructure
- Implement security measures to protect database integrity and control access
- Perform routine database maintenance tasks including backups, patching and upgrades
- Monitor database performance metrics and troubleshoot issues to enhance system efficiency
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to support application database requirements
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for database configurations and procedures
Roles and Responsibilities
- Install, configure and maintain MySQL database management systems
- Ensure database performance, availability and security standards are consistently met
- Perform database tuning and optimization to improve performance
- Monitor database health and implement corrective actions as needed
- Manage database access controls and permissions
- Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with organizational security protocols
- Collaborate with developers to design and optimize database schemas
- Provide support and training to users and stakeholders on database-related topics
