What You Will Be Doing
- Supports Transportation Compliance team efforts to collect data and submit annual DOT reports, and other various reports.
- Provides GIS support for various departments including Transportation Compliance, Damage Prevention, Field Operations, Legal, etc.
- Prepares and maintains Railroad Commission of Texas T4 permits, including required amendments and annual renewals.
- Updates company “PODS” data for Principle Regulatory Attributes.
- Communicates with internal and external key personnel to resolve project-specific issues related to documentation compliance.
- Stays current with pipeline regulations and industry standards.
- Prepares, tracks, and reports annual departmental budgets throughout the fiscal year.
- Incident tracking and reporting, including preparation and analysis of management information in the form of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Assists with Power BI data creation and reporting.
- Affords assistance with Public Awareness initiatives, special projects, and reports.
- Performs miscellaneous administrative tasks.
What Your Background Should Look Like (Minimum Qualifications)
- A Bachelor's degree with a focus in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or at least 5 years of direct experience utilizing GIS software.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of direct experience in a GIS role within the Oil and Gas industry is preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook; knowledge of PowerBI is preferred.
- The ability to quickly learn new applications.
- A highly motivated individual with acute attention to detail is critical for this position.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A self-starter who can work both independently and with others in the organization.
- Strong organizational skills.
- The ability to work well with office and field-based employees as well as regulatory agencies.
- The ability to perform sedentary to light work, exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, or constantly lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- The ability to reach overhead for items, stoop, bend, and twist while working.
- The ability to perform repetitive motions.
- The ability to see, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions.
- The ability to perform visual acuity tasks including color, depth perception, and field of vision necessary to prepare and analyze data; and read and operate a computer.
