Specialist, Physical Security (Monday-Friday 10:30am-7pm 40 hours)

Position Summary

Supports the development and implementation of protocols, programs, and training by providing input, making recommendations for improvement of safety and security protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), training, and security programs. Ensures compliance with Corporate Security protocols, SOPs, and company policy. Updates and maintains site-specific responsibilities. Implements security systems and strategies by responding to alarm and intrusion detection system activation, determining priorities of action in emergency situations, providing tactical security responses to life safety events and incidents, investigating reported corporate facility threats, allegations of policy violations, criminal activity, security breaches, and complaints. Ensures regulatory and corporate policy compliance by addressing compliance-related issues, reporting and correcting violations, implementing solutions to achieve compliance. Develops and maintains relationships with internal and external partners to promote a safe working environment.

What you'll do:

• Provides input and makes recommendations for improving safety and security protocols, SOPs, training, and security programs.
• Maintains compliance with Corporate Security protocols, SOPs, and company policy.
• Updates and maintains site-specific responsibilities.
• Initiates the incident command system in emergency situations until relieved.
• Provides tactical response to emergency situations such as domestic violence, workplace violence, fire, severe weather, active shooter, chemical spill.
• Responds to alarm and intrusion detection system activation, determines priorities of action in emergency situations, provides tactical security responses to life safety events and incidents, investigates reported corporate facility threats, allegations of policy violations, criminal activity, security breaches, and complaints.
• Assesses visitor threat level and assists with and escorts critical and valuable information and merchandise.
• Addresses compliance-related issues, reports and corrects violations, implements solutions to achieve compliance.
• Develops and maintains relationships with internal and external partners to promote a safe working environment.
• Provides tactical emergency responses during life safety incidents, provides customer service with internal partners, and external partners, reports feedback from customers.
• Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners, identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations, carrying out tasks, communicating progress and information, determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities, adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.
• Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, using the Open Door Policy, applying these in executing business processes and practices.

Minimum qualifications:

• 1 year of experience in security, law enforcement, military, emergency services, or a related field.

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelors: Criminal Justice, Bachelors: Emergency Management, Bachelors: Sociology.
• CPR/BCLS - Certification.

Additional information:

The hourly wage range for this position is $21.00 - $40.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
