Position Summary

This role is responsible to maintain and update the Pharmacy enterprise system and provide system support to Company pharmacy associates.

Responsibilities

  • Provide user support for retail and corporate pharmacy associates on the Enterprise Pharmacy system.
  • Resolve issues and answer questions related to system operations, insurance billing and switch overrides.
  • Schedule and conduct training for new and/or existing users on the features and operation of the Pharmacy enterprise system.
  • Monitor, evaluate and record training activities and program effectiveness and identify areas of concern based on user issues/trends and develop training materials to address such.
  • Develop, update and/or maintain Pharmacy system training manuals, guides and course materials for consistent training practices.
  • Work with technical support to ensure training documents reflect current product features.
  • Perform applications support tasks including:
    • Maintain and update Pharmacy enterprise system changes and perform user acceptance testing for upgrades/changes.
    • Perform system updates such as product and supplier additions, product transfers, patient and prescriber profile updates, etc. as required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (Required) or GED required.
  • College degree or college course preferred.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (Required).
  • Experience with EnterpriseRx Pharmacy Management required.
  • Five years retail pharmacy technician experience.
  • One year customer service, help desk or related support role preferred.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules and pharmacy regulations and guidelines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; strong customer service skills.
  • Good multi-tasking, organization, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to train new and existing personnel in the pharmacy system.
  • Proficient in MS Office Excel and Word.
  • Able to travel between 5 and 10% to retail/pharmacy locations.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on business needs to include weekends, evenings and overtime as required.

The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate but may be high in distribution settings.
