Responsibilities

  • Aid the pharmacist in complying with federal, state, and local regulations, HIPAA guidelines, corporate and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Support pharmacists in picking, labeling, packing, and shipping orders; accurately interpreting healthcare providers’ prescription orders and entering them into the core pharmacy system; and notifying physicians of any incomplete or incorrect prescription information.
  • Facilitate effective physician outreach processes (within the limits of pharmacy technician authority).
  • Identify and recommend process/system improvements that enhance efficiency and productivity in pharmacy operations and communicate these ideas to Pharmacy Supervisors.
  • Interact professionally with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate patient services.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • College or 2-year Associate Degree preferred.
  • Must meet applicable Pharmacy Technician Licensure and Certification requirements no later than the first day of employment.
  • Minimum of 0-2 years' experience within a healthcare provider, PBM, Specialty Pharmacy, or Retail/Mail Order Pharmacy setting, with familiarity in medical record handling/documentation, strong core insurance knowledge, high-quality customer service, knowledge of online verification systems, or similar experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and ability to make independent, high-quality decisions under general supervision.
  • Strong computer skills, including quick and accurate data entry using Microsoft Word or Excel software applications.
  • Ability to manage individual tasks, collaborate, and function in a cross-functional environment, adhering to deadlines.
  • Flexible work schedule, able to work between 7am to 7pm.

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.
