About the role

Quality Specialist is responsible for dealing with the three major phases of Quality Management—Quality Planning/Prevention, Corrective Action, and Continual Improvement. The specialist will lead process/procedure definition and maintain a continuous flow of high-quality products to customers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the team to handle all quality excursions independently and take effective actions on time.
  • Oversee product and material quality from NPI to mass production.
  • Develop the quality control plan for respective areas (material/process/product).
  • Monitor and report quality KPIs for internal (factory) and external (customer) stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement to benefit customers, CLS, and suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain internal quality systems, procedures, work instructions, and workmanship standards.
  • Lead process/product/system/supplier audits and follow up on improvement actions (e.g., ISO compliance, safety audits).
  • Follow up on Engineering Changes (EC) and Supplier Process Change Notifications (SPCN) to ensure timely and accurate implementation.
  • Coach junior quality staff to improve their quality knowledge.
  • Accomplish job assignments from superiors and participate in quality strategy deployment.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of quality tools, ISO, and IPC standards and processes.
  • Knowledge of software for generating, capturing, and presenting data in an understandable format.
  • Strong knowledge of product and manufacturing processes.
  • Understanding of the business unit and how decisions impact customer satisfaction, product quality, on-time delivery, and profitability.
  • Knowledge of quality tools such as FMEA, PMP, SPC, 8D methodology, Six Sigma, and Lean Kaizen.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of internal and external customers.

Qualifications

  • 4 to 6 years of experience in a similar role or industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands

  • Duties are performed in a normal office environment.
  • May require repetitive manual movements (e.g., keyboarding).
  • May involve carrying, pushing, or pulling light objects (under 5 kg) or heavy objects (over 5 kg).
  • May require crouching, climbing, sustained visual concentration on small areas (e.g., monitors, screens), precise eye/hand coordination, or sustained visual attention to numbers and legal documents.

This position involves the release of export-controlled goods at a US ITAR facility. Applicants may be required to provide necessary information to determine if any export control exemptions or licenses must be filed.
