Specialist, Operations & Logistics

Key Responsibilities

• Executes the receiving function of purchase orders in the ERP system.
• Executes the delivery of goods from inventory to sales orders and projects in the ERP system.
• Enters customer orders in the ERP system.
• Provides daily communication to AM and PM team on status of orders.
• Works closely with the warehouse on any potential issues and communicates to the team.
• Codifies and approves freight invoices in ERP workflow.
• Coordinates the communication and distribution of shipping documents as required.
• Scans documentation to SharePoint.
• Performs general clerical duties; data entry, answers telephones; maintains files and scans documentation.
• Backup order entry, as needed.
• Runs reports along with monthly tracking spreadsheets.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma required.
• 2-5 years of experience in operations/logistics in manufacturing organizations in an order or make-to-order ERP/MRP driven manufacturing environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills required.
• Must be able to handle numerous technical, commercial, and administrative skills.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills required.
• Microsoft Office proficiency with an emphasis on Excel.
• Solid judgment, decision-making skills, and leadership capabilities.
• Highly motivated, self-directed, and customer service-oriented.
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent negotiation skills.

Physical Demands

• This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required.
• The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable elements are generally absent during normal performance of job.
• Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
• Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
