Specialist, Logistics
About the role
L3Harris is seeking a Logistics Specialist to assist with the daily movement and management of parts and inventory within a manufacturing facility. This role is crucial in optimizing the supply chain to meet production schedules and customer demands.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of shipping and receiving operations.
- Cook with carriers and vendors to ensure timely delivery and receipt of goods.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records.
- Ensure optimal stock levels to support production schedules.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts.
- Oversee the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of parts and materials within the facility.
- Cook the movement of parts to the production line in a timely manner.
- Identify opportunities for improvements in logistics and inventory management processes.
- Implement process changes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to logistics and inventory management.
- Able to coordinate with local logistics teams and ensure compliance with policies.
- Able to obtain and maintain any additional clearances as required.
- This role may require occasional lifting of materials and parts up to 32 pounds.
- Up to 10% travel may be required.
Qualifications
- US Citizenship
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and logistics software.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of safety, regulatory, and quality standards related to logistics and inventory management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with manufacturing software systems.
- Able to work flexible hours as needed to meet production demands.
- Able to obtain a Security Clearance.
Preferred Additional Skills
- Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP).
- Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Great attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $50,000 - $75,000 annually.
