Specialist, Logistics

About the role

L3Harris is seeking a Logistics Specialist to assist with the daily movement and management of parts and inventory within a manufacturing facility. This role is crucial in optimizing the supply chain to meet production schedules and customer demands.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of shipping and receiving operations.
• Cook with carriers and vendors to ensure timely delivery and receipt of goods.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records.
• Ensure optimal stock levels to support production schedules.
• Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts.
• Oversee the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of parts and materials within the facility.
• Cook the movement of parts to the production line in a timely manner.
• Identify opportunities for improvements in logistics and inventory management processes.
• Implement process changes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to logistics and inventory management.
• Able to coordinate with local logistics teams and ensure compliance with policies.
• Able to obtain and maintain any additional clearances as required.
• This role may require occasional lifting of materials and parts up to 32 pounds.
• Up to 10% travel may be required.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship
• Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and logistics software.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of safety, regulatory, and quality standards related to logistics and inventory management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with manufacturing software systems.
• Able to work flexible hours as needed to meet production demands.
• Able to obtain a Security Clearance.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP).
• Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Great attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $50,000 - $75,000 annually.
