Job Summary

Analyze proposed client services and relationships against auditor independence requirements, advise on independence matters, and develop policy communications.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and apply independence rules and policies
  • Advise Partners and client service leadership on independence issues
  • Perform research, draft conclusions, and strategize on independence matters
  • Develop policy communications and training materials
  • Interpret and apply AICPA, SEC, PCAOB, and Deloitte independence rules
  • Work independently and collaborate as part of a team
  • Manage multiple active consultation matters simultaneously

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, compliance, law, or another related field
  • 5+ years of experience in professional services, compliance, risk management, accounting, finance, legal, or audit environments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Experience with artificial intelligence-enabled tools or emerging technology solutions
  • Ability to travel 0-10% based on work needs

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in accounting, finance, business, compliance, law, or another related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
  • Experience in regulatory compliance, risk assessment, internal controls, and interpretation of rules, regulations, and standards
  • Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP
  • Experience in public accounting
  • Strong understanding of Deloitte businesses, service offerings, or service delivery models
