Job Summary
Analyze proposed client services and relationships against auditor independence requirements, advise on independence matters, and develop policy communications.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and apply independence rules and policies
- Advise Partners and client service leadership on independence issues
- Perform research, draft conclusions, and strategize on independence matters
- Develop policy communications and training materials
- Interpret and apply AICPA, SEC, PCAOB, and Deloitte independence rules
- Work independently and collaborate as part of a team
- Manage multiple active consultation matters simultaneously
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, compliance, law, or another related field
- 5+ years of experience in professional services, compliance, risk management, accounting, finance, legal, or audit environments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Experience with artificial intelligence-enabled tools or emerging technology solutions
- Ability to travel 0-10% based on work needs

Qualifications
- Master's degree in accounting, finance, business, compliance, law, or another related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
- Experience in regulatory compliance, risk assessment, internal controls, and interpretation of rules, regulations, and standards
- Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP
- Experience in public accounting
- Strong understanding of Deloitte businesses, service offerings, or service delivery models
