About the role

The Specialist, IT Solutions will engage with site business functions to identify and advocate business process improvement opportunities through the use of IT solutions. Collect, analyze, develop, document and communicate business requirements, and work with various IT teams to develop and deliver solutions. Provide support and user training on selected systems (for example SFC, ERP and local applications). Participate in IT projects in various capacities, including project coordination and management.

• Good communication, documentation (including flow charting) and presentation skills
• Understanding of an electronic manufacturing environment, materials and processes
• Understanding of SCM, shop floor control and ERP applications
• Solid knowledge of the business area to be supported and a solid understanding of its associated business processes
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle concepts and practices
• Knowledge/experience with application-to-application and business-to-business integration
• Proficiency in SQL for database querying/data analysis and working knowledge of JavaScript for scripting and IT solution development
• Understanding of interrelations between IT components (software, OS, databases, network, servers, etc.)

Qualifications

• 4 to 6 years of experience in similar roles
• Bachelor Degree or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience

Physical Demands

• Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment
• Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data
• Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required
