About the role

The National Accounts Specialist reports to the Sales Director and is a full-time remote position based in the South. This role is key within National Accounts, responsible for supporting the successful management and execution of international customer accounts and projects. The Specialist provides oversight and management of customer orders from quotes through shipment, with a focus on timeline management, deliverable coordination, logistics planning, customer communication, and cross-functional alignment.

Responsibilities

  • International Account Support
    • Support Account Managers in managing international customer accounts, serving as a key point of coordination between customers and internal teams throughout the order lifecycle.
    • Collaborate with Purchasing, Credit, Finance, Operations, Warehousing, vendors, and logistics partners to maintain alignment on international order requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
    • Provide customers with product availability, lead times, order requirements, customs documentation requirements, and other information necessary to support international purchasing decisions.
  • Quoting & Order Management
    • Assist with the preparation of accurate international quotes and proforma invoices, including product pricing, freight and logistics costs, and other applicable charges.
    • Monitor orders from quoting through fulfillment, maintaining visibility into key milestones and proactively identifying delays, discrepancies, or risks that could impact customer commitments.
  • International Logistics & Export Coordination
    • Support international shipment planning in coordination with customers, freight forwarders, carriers, warehouses, and other logistics partners.
    • Coordinate freight quoting and shipment planning based on destination, shipment size, product readiness, and customer requirements.
    • Support the preparation and review of international shipping and export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and other required documentation.
    • Maintain visibility into shipment readiness and status, ensuring customers and internal stakeholders receive timely updates regarding key milestones and changes.
  • Issue Resolution & Customer Support
    • Research and coordinate resolution of order discrepancies, product issues, shortages, damages, documentation concerns, shipping delays, and other customer needs.
    • Maintain ownership of customer communication and follow-through, escalating complex issues to the appropriate internal or external stakeholders as needed.
    • Proactively communicate issues or changes that could affect customer expectations, project timelines, or shipment schedules.
  • Product & Market Support
    • Verify product specifications and requirements for international markets, including voltage, frequency, plug configurations, certifications, and other market-specific considerations.
    • Work with vendors and internal teams to identify appropriate product alternatives when standard products do not meet international requirements or availability needs.
    • Maintain awareness of customer-specific requirements, brand standards, and ordering processes across international markets.
  • Data Management & Reporting
    • Maintain accurate tracking and reporting of international orders, projects, milestones, shipment plans, risks, and outstanding deliverables.
    • Provide visibility into order progress, upcoming milestones, and required actions to support proactive account and timeline management.
    • Identify recurring issues, process gaps, and opportunities to improve efficiency and the international customer experience.

Skills

  • Understanding of foodservice equipment, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to effectively support customers across different countries, cultures, and time zones.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple international orders, priorities, and cross-functional deliverables simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail, particularly when reviewing product specifications, pricing, payment requirements, shipping information, and export documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify potential issues, anticipate risks, and proactively coordinate solutions.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and maintain accountability across internal teams and external partners.

Pay

Compensation includes the posted base salary range and does not reflect potential commission, incentive, bonus, or other additional compensation opportunities, where applicable. Total compensation is determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, geographic location, and other job-related compensatory factors.
