About the Role

The Specialist II, Training Operations is responsible for executing training programs at the operational level, focusing on the delivery and support of training initiatives. This role ensures team members receive effective onboarding, safety, and skills-based training. The Training Specialist for Operations supports the implementation of corporate training strategies, maintains training documentation, and partners with site leadership to drive a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic leadership and executes training programs at the operational level, focusing on delivery and support.
• Executes training plans and provides feedback for improvement.
• Customizes and localizes training materials for specific roles or departments; facilitates in-person and virtual training.
• Delivers onboarding, safety, and job-specific training to hourly team members; mentors others and may lead projects.
• Drives change communication and training rollout during change initiatives.
• Partners with supervisors and frontline employees to identify training gaps.
• Maintains training records and ensures documentation is up-to-date at the local level.
• Collects feedback and reports on training participation and comprehension.
• Demonstrates learning commitment by developing skills in facilitation, LMS management, and instructional design.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.

Requirements

• Minimum Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a business-related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in training or operations within a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialized Degree in Education, HR, Organizational Development, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in training, learning and development, continuous improvement, or organizational operations in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles.

Working conditions include office, plant/warehouse floor, various shifts, exposure to extreme heat/cold, heights/elevated platforms, loud noise, and equipment such as computers/keyboards. Safety gear includes safety glasses and safety shoes.
