Specialist, Government Affairs Operations & Events
Position Summary
This role will share responsibility for the property, event, and administrative management of the CTA Innovation Townhouse. The Specialist will provide operational and administrative support related to CTA’s Government and Legal Affairs (GLA) events and programs. This role will also provide significant operational support for the Leaders in Technology (LIT) Program at CES.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in management and maintenance of property, events logistics, and administrative aspects of the CTA Innovation House.
- Execute events at CTA Innovation House.
- Manage usage agreements and invoices in coordination with Finance Department.
- Aid event planners with AV demands, trouble-shooting, catering, and overall event management on-site.
- Support GLA team with preparation and stocking of supplies and branded items.
- Aid GLA team with other events and programs in DC including but not limited to the Digital Patriots Dinner, CES On the Hill and Hill Lobby Days (working in coordination with GLA staff as well as staff in other departments).
- Provide administrative support for CTA Tech Week in DC, including creating floor tour maps, maintaining Policy Day participant information, and assisting with onsite event setup and registration.
- Aid the GLA team in Las Vegas at CES with the Leaders in Technology (LIT) program and tours.
- Assist with the Innovation Policy Summit program at CES including management and outreach for IPS sessions, speaker invitations, tracking, and liaising with CES Conferences team.
- Aid with high-level speaker invites for CES including drafting letters, conducting outreach, completing ethics forms, and speaker agreement protocols.
- Aid Director, Political Programs and consultants on all aspects of LIT Program ethics protocols including with pre- and post-show congressional and agency ethics forms.
- Manage on-site travel for LIT participants in coordination with transportation vendor.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience in event management or related experience.
- An understanding of events in a congressional or government affairs environment preferred.
- Education/Trainings: Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Communications, Business or related field preferred.
- Skills/Capabilities/Technical: Strong time-management and organizational skills, Ability to effectively manage multiple projects with varying deadlines simultaneously, Meticulous attention to detail, Excellent customer service skills, Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; working knowledge of Asana preferred.
Additional Information
Must be willing to travel to Las Vegas for CES every January. Some early morning and evening work is required.

Compensation & Benefits
CTA is committed to transparency and equitable pay practices. The anticipated salary range for this position is $70,000 - $85,000, with final compensation determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity. This role may be eligible for bonus or additional compensation, where applicable.
